Two county champions successfully defend their titles; undefeated Nick Piccininni (41-0) and Nick Hall (32-2). The only other unbeaten wrestler that went unscathed was Islip's Zack Conner (29-0) in the 195-pound class. Returning All-State matmen for Section XI include: the aforementioned Piccininni and Hall, along with Corey Rasheed. Hoping for wild card berths are state finalist James Dekrone and state bronze medalist Sean McCabe, both finished third at the county meet. In the Division II Championships, Bayport-Blue Point won their third consecutive county team title and tallied 225.5 points to finish ahead of runner-up Mattiuck (208), Center Moriches (168), Port Jefferson (159.5) and Hampton Bays with 146.5 points. Winning titles for the Phantoms were Justin Underwood (120), three-time champion Ryan Hake (30-6) at 132 and Harrison DeSousa at 285 pounds. The other repeat champion was Mattituck's Tomasz Filipowski at 170, who also received the Champion of Champions Award. The OSW Award went to Travis Baskerville (160) of Center Moriches and the Most Pins Award was earned by Scott Dunkirk (145) of Center Moriches with 4 falls in 5:38.
