THE STONY BROOK SCHOOL WRESTLING CAMP
The Stony Brook School will be holding a camp for beginner and novice wrestlers from August 8-12, 2005. The camp will be open to wrestlers that will be entering grade 4- grade 9 next fall. The goal for the camp is to provide a fun introduction and learnining experience to the young wrestler and to provide basic instruction that they can build upon.

The camp will be run by Mark Maningo. Mark is the varsity wrestling coach at The Stony Brook School. He has over twenty years experience as a coach on Long Island. He spent ten years as the varsity coach at Bayport-Blue Point, winning five championships. Mark was named the Section XI coach of the year in 1996 and 1998.

Here is the schedule for a typical day;

11:30   Video                                                    3:30  Dismissal
12:15   Lunch

Coach Maningo will be assisted by experienced wrestlers and coaches. As an added bonus, there will be a special guest instructor who will run an instructional clinic at least once over the course of the session. Mike Torriero of West Virginia University is already scheduled to appear this August.
