EAST MEADOW WINS NASSAU COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS
Long Beach's P.J. Gillespie works his overhead cradle against Seaford's Blake Fisher. Gillespie (37-0, 210-29) went on to win his fourth  Nassau County title at 145 pounds and was voted the Outstanding Wrestler.
                       NASSAU COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS

    East Meadow won the team title at the Nassau County Championships with 183 points over runner-up Plainedge which finished with 143. The Jets crowned one champion Tom Rispoli (36-3) at 135 pounds. Defending state champions that successfully defended their titles were Paul Liguori of Wantagh (43-0) at 112 and Eduardo Delgado of Long Beach (36-0) at 152. Other defending county champions, Shane Strumwasser (25-1) of Massapequa at 125, P.J. Gillespie (37-0, 210-29 career mark) of Long Beach at 145 and Maciej Jochym (40-0) of Herricks at 215, won Nassau titles again. Gillespie won his fourth title and was voted the Outstanding Wrestler in the tournament. In Division II, Mike Gomez (39-0) of Locust Valley at 112, also won his fourth consecutive title and Grant Greene (96 lbs.) of Cold Spring Harbor was voted as Outstanding Wrestler.

Long Beach's Eduardo Delgado works a quarter-nelson on Dan Germann of East Meadow in the semifinals. Delgado won 14-0 and went on to the 152 pound title as well as being crowned Champion of Champions.
Paul Liguori of Wantagh used double arm bars in the semis and won his second consecutive title capturing the 112 pound Nassau crown.
Massapequa's Shane Strumwasser holds down Junior Amazon of Uniondale in their 125 pound semifinal. Strumwasser won 1-0 and successfully defended his Nassau title.
East Meadow's Tom Rispoli works a single leg for a takedown. Rispoli won the 135 pound Nassau crown and helped his team take home the top honors.
