Oklahoma State advanced seven wrestlers into the quarterfinals and Penn State pushed six into the big scoring round. Dake has now won 74 consecutive matches, he will face Nicholas Sulzer (28-8) of Virginia in the quarters. New York State's Steve Bonanno and William Wattterson and Steve Bonanno, both at 125, Jamie Franco (133), Steven Keith and Mike Nevinger, both at 141, Donnie Vinson (149), two at 165- Josh Veltre and Ryan LeBlanc, along with Nathan Schiedel and Christian Boley, both at 197 and Ernest James in the 285 class. Both Binghamton and Columbia are tied for 26th place with 5.5 points and Hofstra is currently in 46th place with 2.5 points. Of the ten NCAA champions, the lone setback was to Iowa's two-time champ Matt McDonough, he was defeated by Cornell freshman Nahson Garrett who scored with an explosive double leg takedown for an exciting 4-2 OT win. In the 184-pound semifianls, two NCAA champions will square off - Ruth vs Bosak.The average attendance for the first three sessions has been 16, 131 fans.
