Another top tier of talented LI wrestlers include returning county champions John Arceri (113) of Huntington at 106 and Nassau's MOW winner Owen Bachelder (14-2) of Hewlett at 132 pounds, both are sophomores, and will seek medals at the 2014 state meet. Also in the mix are 11 Division I county finalists that are solid contenders in the upcoming season. David Yablans (106) of Jericho, Chris Donnelly (113) of Island Trees at 113, Adam Smith (126) of East Meadow, sophomore standout Chris Mauriello (18-0) at 132 and ESM's Jimmy Leach, top-ranked in the 138-pound class.

     Also to watch are Wantagh senior
Nick Vines at 145, gridiron star Erik Adon (170) of perennial power East Islip, Plainedge's Robert Ng (16-0) and Nick Weber (17-0) of Kings Park, both at 195, Anthony Puca (16-1) of Huntington at 220 and Farmingdale's Bryan Tenny (16-2) of Farmingdale at 285 pounds.

     Division II champions feature top Locust Valley grapplers;
Bryan Coll (113), the Dusold brothers, Hunter (113) and Mike at  152, Jordan Formicola (160), along with Yamique Webb (170) and Clarke senior Tom Stole at 126 and CSH's Robert Incorvia at 220 pounds.

     Other top
CHSAA returnees are junior Christian Briody of Chaminade at 126, along with  St. Anthony's teammates, John Twomey (113) at 113 and junior Ben LaMantia in the 120 weight class.

     Looking for redemption in the 2013-2014 season are a myriad of all-county matmen that include
Peter Pappas (Plainview) and John Glenn's Zach Ancewicz, both at 106, junior Kyle Scully (Newfield), and Danny Murray (Brentwood) at 113. SWR's James Szymanski and Tim Johnson (Harborfields) will be at 120 pounds.

   
Talented middleweights are all-county Corey Jamison (14-1) of Huntington, Austin Munro (Hauppauge), Tom Reina (Garden City), along with Sachem East's Anthony Messina (13-3, 108 career wins) all in the 126-pound class. Top 132-pounders are unbeaten matmen Sean O'Hagan (Sachem North) and junior Brad Wade (Islip). Other middl weight contenders include Jake Einbinder (Bethpage), tough Gino Titone (Connetquot), along with Jack Reina (Garden City) and Dave Brown of (Farmingdale), all in the 138-145 brackets.

     Potential county finalists are
Jakob Restrepo (14-0) Sachem East at 145 and Dennis Ferro (115-35 career) of EI at 152, along with Brandon Aviles (Newfield) and all-county Greg Chery (31 wins last season) of Connetquot.   Other top prospects include county placers, Zach Lugo (Deer Park), Mike  Pistone (Sachem East) and Willy Jacobs of Uniondale. Also to watch at 160 are Jaison White (Jericho) and Charles Bachmeier of Bethpage.

    Highly-touted
Mark Tracy (16-0) of Sachem East could be one of the favorites in the 182-pound class, along with Islip's all-league selection Ronnie King (15-1). Nassau's pick is Plainedge's all-county Rob Oliver. Other top returnees are Craig Hinrichs (17-0) of Islip and Sachem East's Connor Farrell, both at 220.The stalwarts at 285 are Massapequa's Tim Gungor, Vinny Manna ( Island Trees) and sophomore Edwin Rubio of John Glenn.
