MAT NOTES...
     Islip won eight bouts and were led by defending state champion unbeaten Ryan Patrovich, who for the first time in his career competed in the 189-pound class, he pinned highly-regarded Harrison Grimm. Islip's reigning Suffolk champion, undefeated Tyler Mashkow was also impressive as he posted a major decision over tough Andy Rodriguez (CI transfer) in the 112-pound bout...The Bucs (7-1) defeated a much improved Sayville team in one of the premier duals in a League V showdown... Islip's lone setback was to the El Reno (OK), 29-27, and  now have won 33 consecutive dual meets against New York opponents...They are currently top-ranked in the state and in the recent Amateur Wrestling News poll, they are ranked 40th in the nation...They will travel to the  prestigious Union-Endicott Duals this weekend and face the elite teams in the Empire State...
