Mat Notes...
The dual featured four overtime and hotly contested bouts, many of these match-ups will be revisited in both the league and county tournaments. Special thanks to Islip's Athletic Director Bob Panariello for all his help and Danielle, the Islip scorekeeper, for all the stats and her assistance. Huntington is the state leader with 26 individual state champions. Islip will embark to the UE Duals tomorrow morning and Sunday. Other top Long Island teams entered are top-ranked Wantagh (8-0) and Sachem East (12-0). Many wrestling people feel with all the  Long Island teams in the 16- team field, there could be a classic LI showdown dual in the final, reminiscent of the NYS Cup days at West Point. Best of Luck to all the teams as they compete for the #1 ranking in the state...
