     Monsignor Farrell tallied 263.5 points and crowned five champions en route to their CHSAA team title, held at St.Francis HS in Athol Springs, NY. State-ranked Connor Hanafee (48-4) won the 130-pound championship, and teammates, Kevin Hartnett (43-4) at 140, Tony Carlo (37-5) at 145, Ben Villaret (40-4) at 152 and Antonio Sparaco (36-11) at 160, all won their respective weight classes. Runner-up St. Anthony's (229 points), had a strong showing, especially with their outstanding lightweight corps, Chris Brienza (35-3) at 96, sophomore Jimmy Morris (35-3) at 103, state placer Grant Greene (35-2) at 112,  and Nick Auriemma (28-2) at 285 pounds. That quartet are all capable of high place finishes at the state meet. Perennial power Chaminade amassed 170.5 points and claimed three championships; junior Troy Sampson (37-4) at 125, Alex Erickson (28-7) at 189 and highly-touted Brandan Fowler (38-3) at 215 pounds. Reigning New York state champion Andrew Lenzi (39-3)of Fordham Prep coasted to the 135-pound crown and will lead a strong contingent of CHSAA grapplers in the state tournament.
