| Islip battled back after a first period cross-face cradle pin by Paul Vaeth (112) and an 11-4 decision by Chris Wade at 130 pounds. The Bucs came within one point, 22-21, after all-county freshman Ryan Patrovich used his patented spiral half to register a fall at the 5:09 mark in the 135-pound match. The win enabled the Blue Devils to capture the League title for the 29th time in coach Lou Giani's 33 years at Huntington. It now gives Giani a spectacular 388-28-1 overall mark. |
